Center of the Labyrinth

You may wonder what this has to do with celebration. Let me explain what it is. As I often do, I went wandering with my camera last night. I came upon a church that has a labyrinth on its property. Labyrinths have always fascinated me, going back to my childhood and playing with a miniature labyrinth in which I guided a marble through the walls via button on the side of the toy. I took a few minutes to walk the churchyard labyrinth, enjoying the serenity of the warm summer-like evening as I went. I stood at the center for a few minutes and then something made me look up. Directly above me, high up in the branches of the great tree, I spied this crystal. Someone took the time and effort to hang it up there. I celebrated the pleasure of this beautiful sight, the tranquility of the moment and most of all the joy of taking time to notice the little pleasures in life.

Oh, this is a great story. That person was there in essence while you were. It’s kind of a random act of kindness thing. And a great photo.

I love to hang random things in the trees in our front yard…..they throw the most amazing colors on the ground that the kids dance on.

    Beautiful picture!

It reminds me of a marble I used to have. I loved to collect marbles when I was a kid, I loved the clear ones with swirls of color the best.

This was indeed a most serendipitous moment…and a celebration of spirit from the one that placed it there.
