It is interesting to me that the Balinese believe that the day of the week that you were born on is more telling than the year or month.  I happen to be a Thursday’s child.  So are all three of my siblings.

  • If you are born on Thursday, you have two guiding animal spirits- the Tiger and the Lion.  (Don’t mess with me!)
  • Your official tree is the banyan tree.  (I’ve always adored banyan trees.  When I lived in Hawaii I felt as if the banyans there were old souls.)
  • Your official bird is the peacock.
  • A person born on Thursday is always talking first, interrupting everyone else, can be a little aggressive , tends to be handsome but has a good and decent overall character with an excellent memory and a desire to help other people.

I’m not into astrology at all, but I found this to be interesting anyhow.

Hey, I’m a Thursday’s child, too. I’ve never heard any of this. The first part is certainly true enough. I don’t know about that tree, though. I’ll just have to take your word for it. Nite, nite!

I don’t know what day of the week I was born, but now I’m curious… Should I ask mom or find the answer on the Internet. Tough decision.

That’s so cool! I was born on a Saturday, what’s mine?

I’ve always found astrology interesting, and after some googling, I came upon this:
Friday’s child (“ruled” by Venus)–Affectionate, sympathetic, caring, social, artistic and/or seductive, over-sexed, vain, vulgar, lazy.

Hmmmm, mostly true, although I’ve always been quite the opposite of lazy and unable to sit still :-)
