Photo Hunters

This Week’s Theme: Technology
I thought for a bit to try to come up with something a bit different for this theme.  When I came across this photo of medieval battle gear that I’d taken this past summer, it made me think of how much technology has evolved and changed the way we humans do battle.  Unfortunately, all the advanced gear in the world can’t keep our brave men and women from being killed on battlefields around the world.

    You are so right!

I also thought for a bit and tried to do something a little different.

How far technology has come . . . and seems to only come faster and faster these days!

    Great photo and great choice.

    Mine is up too.

That’s great, I love it. Technology has come a long way from that. My kids go to this thing they have at one of the parks in Hawaii called the Horde and they dress in mid-eivil days and have their little battles.

    I’m up too.

What an awesome photo! How neat to see that – and yes, technology has really evolved!

It’s neat to think what would have been “high tech” in different eras. Great take on the theme.

Can you imagine fighting in that??!!

That is very neat. Looks like it has seen it’s share of battles. Thanks for sharing.

    Have a great weekend,

Ohhh…I absolutely LOVE your photo! And this is a very thoughtful and clever representation of technology. Medieval history is a fascination for me!
    Mine’s up also…

Great photo! Military technology has evolved a great deal, but as you said, unfortunately men and women still lose their lives. Every time my husband is deployed, I can’t help worrying about him and his fellow soldiers and officers.

    Have a good weekend. :)

Maybe if we went back to fighting this way less of our men and women would die. Would you want to fight dressed like this? Great take on the theme!

My tangled technology is posted. Happy Saturday!

How cool. I love medieval things. Heck, all old things, even if it’s old and rusty and have to do with battles. It’s history – I wish all battles could be history!

That was state of the art when it was new. Makes you think, doesn’t it? Excellent take on the theme!

A very interesting picture…I had to stare at it for awhile. The first glance, it looked like something set on a fence post in someone’s yard. Then I saw the checkerboard and thought…a yard sale? Then I noticed the tents in the background and said…ahhhh, ren fair!

    A very cool photo!
Now warfare is dropping bombs and getting out of there in a hurry, no hand to hand combat anymore!
    Happy Weekend!

Your choice for Technology was innovative. I can see you really put some thought into it.

(I also enjoyed reading your story about your son. He reminds me of my son. I’m currently trying to solve the schooling dilemma for next year, so I can relate to what you are saying.)

What a great idea for a “technology” photo. It’s amazing to think that men fought using this “gear!”

A great technology find, almost seems they were more protected from each other then, than now.
